The coffee pot Nonno carried from Calabria in 1955, and the people it made coffee for.

The story
“It was the only thing he brought apart from clothes. Anyone who knocked got a coffee — the postman, the priest, the neighbours, the man selling encyclopaedias. He made coffee for anyone who came to the door, even the man selling encyclopaedias, and he bought a set.”
How it came down to us
Rosa tells it every time the pot comes out. Her son Luca wrote it down in 2019; the encyclopaedias are in his hallway.
